Come and join us for a night of dance floor bangers. Acid house, early techno, hardcore, jungle and beyond. Free entry!
Louise Plus One and Hughesee met while playing on one of the first online stations, Interface Radio. They discovered a shared passion for Breakbeat Hardcore and Techno from the 80s and 90s. Both have been collecting vinyl since the '90s and possess collections that span many genres.
In 2011, they formed Distant Planet, an event dedicated to the music they love from the 80s and 90s. They regularly host all-night warehouse parties at Venue MOT in South Bermondsey. It has become a hub for ravers of all ages and backgrounds, uniting through the sounds of both old and new, including Jungle, Breakbeat Hardcore, and Techno.
Over the years, they have performed back-to-back sets at notable events such as Bangface, Glastonbury Festival, We Out Here festival, Sick Crew Berlin, Big Fish Little Fish, Freekuency Festival (Portugal), Certain Sounds, Jungle Syndicate, Live Evil, Calling The Hardcore, Dissonance, An Experience Presents and Singularity,
Distant Planet also captures video sets from their events, which are available on their YouTube channel, and hosts live streams showcasing the best of the Distant Planet DJs.
You can catch Louise Plus One & Hughesee every 2 weeks on Thursdays https://www.infrared.fm/ from 10am to midday.
